I have been studying and practicing the art and science of astrology for thirteen years, applying psychological astrology from a spiritual and evolutionary perspective.
Psychological astrology is an approach of analyzing the birth chart to gain understanding of an individual’s psychological makeup. The spiritual and evolutionary perspective holds that we are more than our physical bodies, here on earth to learn, grow, and evolve. The above quote from The Talmud illuminates what I believe to be the absolute crux of understanding necessary to create a fulfilling, meaningful and joyous life: perspective creates perception and perception creates experience. Our experiences in life are purely subjective because they are always filtered through our perspectives – life is created from the inside out. Astrology, more than any other modality, accurately describes your perspectives, conscious or otherwise.
The birth chart, a map of the Cosmo’s at the precise time and location of one’s birth, depicts the archetypal landscape of the individual’s psyche, revealing inherent patterns of character – the perspectives which fuel experience. With this understanding of conscious and unconscious motivations, one can then begin to create their life from a place of clarity and empowerment – true power that comes from within when body, mind, and spirit create in unity from the inside out.
We all come into this life with lessons to be learned, fully equipped with natural talents as well as shortcomings to serve this process of evolutionary growth. When you understand what is consciously and unconsciously motivating your behavior, and how to address it, you become the captain of your ship and the journey of living fully in accordance with your true nature begins.

The birth chart is not only a symbolic map of your inherent disposition, but also serves as a clock timing important cycles in the continual evolution of your character.
